A renewal and a change of owner look the same in a single copy of the registry, so we keep a copy every day and compare. Registrations are new aircraft and new owners only; renewals are left out. Bills of sale come from the FAA's index of recorded documents, usually weeks before the buyer registers.

Questions
Can't find what you need? Email support@sabrsoftware.com and a person answers. Sources: the FAA aircraft registry.
Where does the data come from?
From the FAA aircraft registry (Federal Aviation Administration, Civil Aviation Registry), a public federal record updated every day, and the FAA's index of recorded documents such as bills of sale.
What counts as new?
An aircraft newly on the registry, or one whose registered owner changed since the day before. We keep a copy of the registry every day and compare, because a renewal looks exactly like a new owner in a single copy. Renewals and address changes are left out.
What is a bill of sale alert?
A bill of sale recorded with the FAA for an aircraft held by a company. It usually comes weeks before the buyer's registration, so the owner on file may still be the seller; the FAA doesn't publish the buyer's name with it.
Do you include aircraft owned by individuals?
No. Only aircraft registered to companies (corporations, LLCs, partnerships) and government bodies. Individuals, co-owners and drones are left out.
What about trusts?
Banks and trust companies hold title for some owners. We flag those as held by a trustee, so you know the name on file isn't the operator.
Do you include phone numbers or emails?
No. The registry has the owner's name and mailing address, not phone or email.
Which region does an aircraft count in?
The region of the registered owner's mailing address. Owners with an address outside the US go to all-US alerts only.
Can I change my filters?
Yes. Reply to any email with the regions, states or aircraft you want.
Can I use the data for screening or credit decisions?
No. We aren't a consumer reporting agency, and the data can't be used for credit, insurance, employment or housing decisions about anyone.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from the link in every email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for.
